1. Do you think your name is cute? Yes, I’m thankful for my name.

2. If you had a chance to name yourself, which name would you choose and why? I wouldn’t change my name.

3. Do you have any hobbies other than writing? I enjoy walking, reading, and watching movies.

4. Be it books or movies, if given a chance, which character’s life would you choose to live and why? I have never thought of being a character from a book/movie, however, if I had to choose, hopefully it would be someone who has helped to change lives for the better.

5. If you have a job now, are you happy with it? If you could change it now, which one would you choose? I love my job! I don’t have a desire to change it at this time.

6. Do you like to cook? Yes. It’s much more enjoyable now since I’ve been working from home and have extra time.

7. Do you believe in predictions made for your zodiac sign? No, I don’t follow horoscopes.

8. So far are you proud and satisfied with your blog’s progress? Yes I am thankful!

9. What’s the most useless piece of knowledge you know? I’m not sure. 🤔

10. Which is your favorite work from your blog? Leave the link so that everyone can enjoy!! One of my favorites is, “The Lord Is God”.

Barb’s Questions to Me:
1. How did get started blogging? I used to send email devotionals to a small group of family and friends but then God lead me to start the blog in May 2017. I stated blogging more diligently in early 2018.

2. Other than Jesus what Biblical “character” would you most like to spend time with? Without a doubt, Daniel! I love his resolve to be obedient to the Lord and do what was right.

3. How many places have you lived? I’ve lived in Virginia, Florida, Michigan, Alabama, and during my time in the military, South Carolina, Maryland, Indiana, and South Korea.

4. Where/How do you blog? (ie home office on PC, in my recliner on lap top) Mostly in my room on my cell phone using the WordPress app when I’m writing blogs. When I’m responding to comments and reading other blogs I do it in many different places.

5. How has your life changed since you started blogging? It has become a part of me and I enjoy it. I feel thankful to be part of the blogging community.

6. If you had zero subscribers, would you still blog? Yes. I started with zero and it was a while before I had any followers.

7. Do you attend a small, medium or large church? I haven’t joined a church yet since I just relocated, but my church in Florida had a main campus that was large and about 12 satellite campuses that were smaller. I attended one of the satellite campuses.

8. Why did you choose that particular congregation? I liked the sermons that the pastors taught.

9. How long have you been a Christ follower? I accepted Christ when I was 9.

10. What is you favorite holiday & why? I never really thought about a favorite holiday. But if I had to choose, it would be Christmas. It’s a joyous time of year and it’s nice to remember the Savior’s birth. The decor is pretty too.

11. Other than blogging are you involved in any other ministry? As I mentioned I just relocated and haven’t joined a church but in Florida I was on the Teacher’s Ministry to help encourage teachers and the Single’s Ministry.

What is your pet name? Keesha.
How loyal are you? I am very loyal and like to keep my commitments.
Are friends or family the people who influence your life more? Both have played a role in my life at different times, but mostly family.
Are you a breakfast person? Yes, it’s the most important meal of the day.
What is your favorite Camera brand? I don’t have one.
What is your take on baby showers? Are they relevant? Yes baby showers are nice and relevant. I didn’t have to buy diapers for 5 months after my daughter was born. Thank God for baby showers!
How large or small is your family? My immediate family is small but my extended family is very big.
For or against divorce? It depends on the situation. I myself am divorced.
What is the reason for your answer in question 8? I say that because the Bible does give reasons for divorce.
Road trips or flight; which do you prefer? Road trips are fun when you have time, otherwise jump on the plane.
Are you a foodie? Based on the definition of foodie, no I’m not. But I do enjoy trying new foods.

You have been shipwrecked. It’s only you and one other survivor. What do you do to occupy your time as there are no books or electronics? Talk to the other person.
What is your favorite animal? Share a picture. Papillon
Which blog do you look forward to reading? I look forward to reading many different ones.
Right now, I’m dressing up like the kid from Christmas Story. How to you dress to stay warm? I am probably one of the few people who have not seen that movie. So I don’t know.
Considering the the times we live in, if your son or daughter told you they feel they are gay, what would your reaction be? How would you handle it? I would be surprised. I would still love my child but would continue to seek the Lord and other resources for help.
If you caught your son or daughter watching pornography how would you handle the situation? What would you say to them? I guess it depends on the age. I would offer suggestions for help if it’s an adult child but for a minor I would use parental blocks and talk to them/get help.
Aside from blogging, how do you express to others what is on your heart? By talking to them or giving to them in some way.
Do you believe in the power of prayer? Yes!!! Prayer is our way to talk to God and it changes things.
With all the distractions that can draw your attention how do you stay grounded? By praying and asking God to help me to focus on what is most important.
Would you rather live in the mountains by a river/lake or in the hustle and bustle of city life? Mountains sound nice. I don’t care for big cities.
Are you as tired of the rat race as I am? The last few months have been extremely busy for me. I have been tired. But I’m enjoying some down time since I just relocated. It’s wonderful!

☀️Mr. Holliman’s Questions to me:

1)What is your favorite book? Why?

I’ve read so many good books, but one of my favorites is “When Women Say Yes to God” by Lysa Terkeurst. It has many inspiring stories of having faith in God.

2)Do you have any pets?

3)How long have you been blogging?

2 years, but diligently for the last year

4)What is your favorite 2 quotes about faith?

“Faith is trusting God when you do not understand.” AND from Corinthians, “For we walk by faith and not by sight.”

5)Have you ever made your own herbal tea?

6)What is your favorite disaster movie? If any

I’m not sure exactly what is classified as a disaster movie, but I did used to watch a show on the Smithsonian Channel called Air Disasters. It was about discovering why plane crashes had occurred and what the FAA did to fix the problems.

7)Do you think the government is going in the right or wrong direction?

Sometimes they are right, sometimes they are wrong so we have to keep praying for our government officials.

8)What is your favorite health food that you cook or buy?

My favorite vegetable is brussel sprouts. I eat a banana almost everyday. I also have come to like Tofu, it’s very versatile.

9)What is you favorite fruit?

Pineapple

10)Have you ever been hiking in the snow?

11)Do you like taking walks?

Yes! I love to go for walks.

1)What inspires you to wake up every morning?

The fact that God’s mercies are new everyday and knowing that He is faithful and He will take care of me.

2)What is your purpose for your blog?

To inspire others to Draw Closer to Christ.

3)Do you like to talks walks or jogs?

I love going for walks.

4)What is the most important thing to you when it comes to family?

Showing love because relationships are built on love.

5)Have you ever took a trip and got stuck there because of the bad weather?

Yes. I was on my way to Charleston SC for my cousins funeral in 2015. We got stuck at the Atlanta GA airport for 8 hours due to bad weather throughout the South.

6)Does it snow where you live?

No. There is no snow in sunny Florida, but I did live in Michigan for 11 years and there was a lot of snow there.

7)What makes you want to keep writing?

Jesus. I have a desire to share Him with others.

8)Do you like to ride horses? If so, have you?

No. I’ve never ridden a horse.

9)What is your favorite type of birds?

Cardinals are pretty. Birds are beautiful creatures in general. When you take time to admire them you can see many colors and designs.

Carrabbas Italian Grill (although I love the salad and breadsticks at Olive Garden).

I’m a lark

2. What do you do for fun?

I enjoy trying new restaurants. I also like occasionally riding bikes on the beach.

3. What are your spiritual gifts?

I believe the gift of encouragement is something I have.

4. Have you made Jesus the Lord of your life? If so, how did it happen?

Yes I did when I was 9 years old at a Wednesday night prayer meeting. I can still remember that night clearly.

My favorite bible verse has always been John 3:16. It’s also the first verse I memorized.

6. What is your favorite characteristic about yourself?

I’m a pretty calm person and I really like that.

7. What is one valuable lesson you have learned in life?

Don’t just follow the crowd because God has a unique plan for everyone.

8. When did you know you wanted to become a writer?

I’ve enjoyed writing for awhile. I first started doing it in 2008 for a couple of years then stopped. But I started this blog in 2017.

I only recently found out about the ambivert, and I believe that’s what I am.

10. Do you dread or look forward to your birthday?

I’m always thankful to see another year so in that case I look forward to it.

1. What, in your opinion, is the most majestic of all God’s creation?

I’m gonna go with the universe. It contains so many fascinating and mind blowing things. Galaxies, blackholes, planets, comets, the list goes on. I always say, it’s a glimpse into the majesty of God.

Interesting Fact per Cool Cosmos: Earth is located in the universe in the Virgo Supercluster of galaxies. A supercluster is a group of galaxies held together by gravity. Within this supercluster we are in a smaller group of galaxies called the Local Group. Earth is in the second largest galaxy of the Local Group – a galaxy called the Milky Way.

2. Are you a read the book type of person or a wait for the movie type?

Read the book.

3. What topic do you feel is the least discussed but the one most needed to be discussed?

In the church I’d say sexual sin. I’ve heard multiple Pastors say that much of the counseling they do with families/individuals revolves around destruction that has been caused by some type of sexual sin.

4. Do you prefer hanging out with a group of friends around a fire or chilling alone by a lake?

Most of the time I would prefer the lake, occasionally the friends around the fire.

5. What inspires you to keep blogging?

God does, along with the desire He has given me to help others.

6. Do you believe the world is going to hell in a hand basket? Why?

Yeah I think so, because things are getting worse everyday. I constantly here people say, “What in the world is happening??”

7. If you are a Christian, would you be willing to write your testimony as a blog post?

This is something I have thought about. Although I share stories from my life in different posts, I haven’t done one testimony post yet. I’m sure I eventually will.

Mrs. Holliman’s 11 questions to me:

1. What is you favorite thing about life?

My favorite part of life is the privilege I have to know Christ. I’m thankful for the lessons He teaches me. I look forward to all He has in store for me and the ways He will use me to help others. 🙏🏿

2. How do you feel about what the world is becoming?

A lot of bad things are happening in the world and things are getting increasingly worse. I just try my best to stay close to the Lord. I also strive to obey His Word so I can be a light to others. 🌎

3. Do you love the beach?

I’m not really a beach person but the beach is beautiful. The ocean is definitely something to be respected. I have read about the different layers of the ocean. I still can’t believe there are deep sea creatures in the last two layers living in total darkness, with little oxygen and food, freezing temps, and pressure equal to the weight of about 48 Boeing 747’s!! It’s an amazing place, but even more amazing is the God who created the oceans and all its inhabitants. 🏖

4. Has your heart ever been broken before?

Yes, in relationships. But I’m thankful I’ve learned to keep my eyes on Christ because no person including myself is perfect. I’m also thankful for the healing He has brought to me. 💔+✝️=❤️

5. What makes you happy?

A nice slice of pepperoni pizza (ok maybe 3 slices) and a good Netflix movie! Lol 🍕

6. What is your favorite movie?

Private Benjamin 🎥

7. If you had to choose between Hawaii and Bahamas, which one would you pick? Why?

Since I live in Florida, the Bahamas is only 30 minutes away by flight, but I would go with Hawaii. Hawaii would feel more like a real trip since it’s much further away. Plus I’m looking forward to the pineapple they have there, my favorite fruit. 🍍

8. Are you an outdoor person or indoor person? Why?

Indoor. When I think of outdoors, I think of things like boating, hiking, camping etc. I don’t do any of those things. 🏠

9. Where do you find inspiration for your blog posts?

The Bible, my personal experiences, and the things going on around me. The Holy Spirit helps me to bring all that together. When I feel stuck, I ask God for help. 💡

10. If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life, what would you be?

I’m not sure, but it would be a vegetable of some sort. 🥦

11. What is one way you relieve stress at the end of the day?

Reading 📚
