My name is Dawn and I created this blog to help you be inspired and encouraged in your walk with Jesus. I believe the love of Jesus and the truth found in His Word, the Holy Bible, hold the answers for the issues we face in life. The pages of His Word are filled with His love, encouragement, and the instructions we need to live victoriously. I enjoy creating writings based on the scriptures that empower others to keep moving forward in Christ. I’ve always liked to write and some years ago I spent about two years writing devotionals and emailing them to a small group of friends and family once a week. But it was in 2017 that I decided to start this blog in hopes of helping more people.
I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at the age of 9 and was baptized. However, being a Christian and following Jesus is a lifelong process so we will always be in a constant state of learning and growing. I myself have fallen short many times but He always forgives us when we repent and gives us the strength to keep going. I am so excited about sharing His love with others through this blog because when I look back at the ups and downs I’ve had I can see how He has faithfully kept me, delivered me and loved me unconditionally through it all. I am looking forward to having the opportunity to share with you the things that I have learned but I am also excited about getting to know you better, learning from you and hearing some of the lessons that God has taught you.
I am the proud mommy of one young adult daughter. Her name is Shalenah. In addition to writing I also like to read, go to the movies, walk (especially in the park), and volunteer when I can. My favorite foods are pizza and french fries. I am an accountant and I have worked in accounting for almost 20 years. I hope to be able to do more traveling in the coming years. The most important thing about me though is that I love Jesus and I don’t know where I would be without the sacrifice He made for me and His love in my life. I love Him because He first loved me and He keeps on loving me no matter what.
