1 Timothy 6:6 NIV, “But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
Do you sometimes find it hard to remain content? The responsibilities of life and the busy days that result can at times weigh on even the strongest of people. And the bar is constantly being raised because the world’s definition of success is constantly changing. The good news is that, we are only required to accomplish God’s will for our lives. He has a unique plan for each individual. Contentment comes when we choose to keep our eyes on His will.

There is always something else we can do, but we only need to do what He has called us to do. Quality is better than quantity. Trust God to help you as you pursue His plans for your life. Growing in Jesus Christ and following His plan for our lives brings contentment.
We are only called to do God’s will for our lives. I haven’t thought of my choices in quite that way before, Dawn. Thank you!
Your post makes me think of Ephesians 2:10-one of my favorite verses.
“We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works He has prepared in advance for us to do.”
Blessings!

When I think about the Psalm-Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart- I think about how if we really delight ourselves in the Lord our hearts will change to match his desires.

Contentment comes as we CHOOSE to keep our eyes on His will. That’s so true, Dawn, and I love how you said that. It’s a choice we make every single day. Thank you and God’s blessings.

Praise the Lord! Only what He requires of our life is important. Indeed, sometimes we get caught up with the cares of life and will become discontent. Thanks for reminding us to only focus on the important things. Have a blessed day
