Always Be Prepared

1 Peter 3:15 NIV, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,”

“Always be prepared.” We know people are always watching our actions, and the way we live our lives. The way we conduct ourselves, is a testimony of our reverence to the Lord. We never know when we will have the opportunity to verbally share with someone, who Christ is to us. The love and light of Jesus, shining through us, is a sweet fragrance to those around us. The hope we have in Jesus, is meant to be shared with others, in a gentle and respectful way. As we go about our daily routines, may God prepare our hearts and give us an awareness of those around us, and grant us opportunities to share the reason for the hope we have in Jesus.

  1. The way we conduct ourselves is a testament to our reverence for the Lord – so very true Dawn. Our actions will indeed speak louder than our words and gives credence to what we profess to believe in.

  2. I love this reminder. We have so many opportunities to spread the “sweet fragrance” – at work, in the grocery store, at home, and everywhere we go. May we remember to spread Jesus’ light and love with our actions and words. Thank you, Dawn! This is a much needed reminder. Something we should consider daily! Have a wonderful week!

    1. You’re welcome Bridget! It is a reminder for me too. We can end up with opportunities anywhere, even at the grocery store, as you mentioned. Have a wonderful week too. 🤗

  3. This is actually what I call my life verse. I was younger when the Lord brought it to my attention and had to do some studying to find out exactly what my hope is. It is found yes in the death of our Lord but more so in the power of his resurrection. Because He lives, I live.
