Matthew 6:26,“Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?”
This picture is proof that God takes care of the birds…

They have to rely on His daily provision. I know we are taught to have a store house, which is a large supply or amount of something, and it can be easy for a store house to become our security. But our true security is found in the Lord. He will take care of us day by day, store house or no store house. In my own life, I have experienced various seasons, where there are times of lack and times of plenty but through it all God was still my Source. He is faithful to give us what we need, so keep relying on Him, like the little birds.
1 Timothy 6:17, NLT, “Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment.”
May God’s Peace guard your heart and mind today in Christ Jesus.

I love the verse you shared. What a trustworthy God we have. And He loves us so much. May we remember this when we are tempted to worry. He is always there and He will provide. Thank you, Dawn, for the encouragement. Have a lovely week.

Amen 🙏🏽. It is indeed easy for our storehouses to become our security but the Lord is our true security. What a wonderful and faithful God we belong to. May we always remember that it is the one who gives the blessing we need to lean on and not in the blessing itself.
Wonderful reminder Dawn 😊💙

God has provided for me so many times when there seemed to be no way.
I still think a puppy would be good for you 🙂

In my bird watching days I learned that doves and pigeons are the only birds who can use their beaks like a straw. Other birds must get water into their beaks and then throw their head back to make it go down. God is the ultimate designer, and He crafts our lives with the same thoughtful care. Great post, Dawn. As it says in the Psalms, “He preserves both man and beast.”

Thank you David for sharing this. I didn’t know that. I used to work with a lady who watched birds and she always had her binoculars with her. God is faithful to all his creation.

Praise the Lord. I can truly testify that God has been my constant provider. When I looked back on the hurricanes that devastated my island home in 2017 and then the pandemic that eroded work, but through it all God has provide and provide. I give the Lord all the praise and thanks. Thank you, Dawn for this powerful word.

What a precious reminder to quit looking at what I have or focusing on what I DON’T have, and instead look at God who richly gives me all I NEED.

I too have seen God supply the impossible, and have tried to keep a journal record. When discouragement comes to call, that notebook provides a heap of encouragement.
