Psalm 92:12-14 NIV, “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 13 planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,”
Oftentimes outward beauty and youth are celebrated above the beauty of growing older and gaining godly wisdom. This Psalm speaks of bearing fruit and being vibrant, even in old age. The longer we live for the Lord and continue to grow in Him, the more good He can do through us.

In God’s kingdom, we are not limited by age, looks, or our natural human capabilities and understanding. His power working in us, will enable us to supernaturally do more than we can ask, think, or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Things that seem like hinderances, can be stepping stones God uses to accomplish His purpose in our lives. He can somehow shine through our imperfections to help others see the love and light of Jesus. God desires for us to flourish all the days of our lives, as we intentionally seek Him and dwell in His presence. We just need to be available, willing, and obedient to answer His call.
Thanks, Dawn ! This is very encouraging to me, as I am an ‘old’ person. 🤗

I hope you like the song. It is our favorite.
When we were homeless in Fredericton the people we were staying with took us to see Steve Bell in concert. It was a wonderful evening that helped us escape the storm for a bit. Though Steve didn’t sing the song at his concert we did tell him after it was a favorite of ours. As we have grown older this song has provided much needed hope as we feel old and forgotten.
Thank you again for sharing Dawn. You are a precious sister and we are so grateful for the simple truth you post!

We never ‘retire’ from serving God and living for Jesus. We graduate from this life to heaven, but while we are here in this life, we never retire.

Yes, big sis. We should never stop bearing fruits. And yes we should pay attention to growing in Him. And also, learn to celebrate the older folks around us, who are still stayed in Christ and bearing good fruits.
