Galatians 3:1-3 NLT, “Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross. 2 Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ. 3 How foolish can you be? After starting your new lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?”
When I read verse one, I like to replace the name Galatians with my name. That way, I can remind myself that I cannot live for Jesus in my own strength. I need His Spirit to work in me and through me to accomplish God’s purposes.
The death and resurrection of Jesus is the means by which we are able to apply the principles of God’s Word to our daily lives and do good. When we work for the Lord, we are contributing toward His eternal purposes. Our motivation for doing good should be the same as our Heavenly Father’s, to see people come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Don’t be discouraged when you have days where you fall short. Refocus and remember that you began with Christ, and so you must continue on through Christ. It’s His grace that sustains us.
The Lord does reward us as we serve Him, but our greatest rewards are in heaven. Can you imagine the ecstasy of seeing Jesus face to face, for all eternity? Oh how joyous it will be.
Continue on in Christ.

Absolutely Big sis. Focusing on Him keeps us going. And love the emphasis, even when we drift away, let’s get back to our “looking into Jesus, as the author and finisher of our faith”.
I look forward to that glory ahead too. Such beauty it will be!

Even though the righteous fall seven times, he will rise again… God never said he may, God said he will. A word that keep me going in my walk with him

My little girl loved these pictures, Dawn! She loves hot air balloons 😊.
You speak so much truth: “you began with Christ, and so you must continue on through Christ.”
I think we do start in that faith. Part of the reason the Gospel of Jesus is so drawing is because of His unconditional love, and we feel that. But it’s easy to lose sight of that as we start to do the Gospel “to-do” list. This is a great reminder that we don’t earn anything. We just need to follow Him. Love it ❤️. Thank you for sharing!

Amen. Thinking about being with Jesus sustains me at times. To just lean my head back, close my eyes and smile is a reset for my heart that reminds me to Trust Him; to seek Him first, and He will add what I need. Ah, the peace that comes is joyous. Blessings my friend ♥

Thank you for the reminder, Dawn. It’s easy to lose focus, especially when you fall. I feel God saying, “Were you not born into My grace? Are you now expecting to finish without it? Won’t My grace uphold you, now and forever?”
“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit” (Zech. 4:6) Thank You for Your goodness, Abba. God bless you, Dawn.

I love the idea of putting my name in that text too. Thank you for that suggestion big sis. It will surely help me to focus when I see the Lord pointing at me and saying, “Now now Deandra…”

God knew we would be prone to wander. I love how in His Word He addressed the problem even before we knew we had a problem and told us how to stay on track!

Continue on in Christ indeed! It’s not the stumbles that defines the heart, but how we continue to endure… to the end! God bless!
