Jesus Will Give You Strength

Philippians 4:13 (NLT), “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

There are many things and people that will attempt to distract us as we try to follow God’s will for our lives. But we must stay focused on Jesus. He will never leave us, forsake us, or fail us. Everything we need is found in Him.

Jesus gives us strength to fulfill the purpose He has for us. He gives us strength to stay on the narrow path that leads to life. His strength helps us to endure the obstacles that come against us and try to steal our peace of mind.

On days where we feel like giving up, we can look to Jesus and find the hope we need to keep going. When we feel tired and weak, it’s His Spirit who gives us the power to stay strong. There is no weight so heavy that the strength of Jesus cannot carry it. Cast your burdens on the Lord Jesus, because He cares for you.

Dear Father,

Thank you for the strength we have through your Son Jesus Christ. Thank you for watching over us and helping us to live for you. When we are weak, You are strong. Help us not to fall prey to the ways of this world. Help us to keep our hearts pure, and to keep our eyes fixed on You.

In the name of Jesus. Amen.

  2. Amen! I needed this this morning! As I sit in the “waiting room,” some days are more difficult than others, but the Lord never fails, He always gives me more of His strength to stand still. I was a little weak this morning, but the Lord stepped in through this message and gave me more strength.

“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness…2 Corinthians 12:9

As I thought about this passage, I realized that the Lord could easily give us all the strength that we need for our trials upfront, but He doesn’t. Instead, He gives us our daily bread and our daily strength.

“Thank you for the strength we have through your Son Jesus Christ. Thank you for watching over us and helping us to live for you. When we are weak, You are strong. Help us not to fall prey to the ways of this world. Help us to keep our hearts pure, and to keep our eyes fixed on You.

In the name of Jesus. Amen.”

  4. Amen and well said, thank you! You wrote that Jesus gives us the strength to carry out His will. That truly opened my eyes this morning. How often have I prayed seeking the power that only He can give, yet felt I didn’t receive it. Undoubtedly it was because what I sought it for was not in His plan for me.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.
    Blessings,
