Psalm 95:1-3 NLT, โCome, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods.โ
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving! I pray that joy and peace will fill your heart as you take time to reflect on Godโs goodness, with a thankful heart. He is the Rock of our salvation and we can rest knowing that He is walking with us every moment of everyday.

As I reflect on Godโs goodness, these are some things I am thankful for:
Colossians 4:2 NLT, โDevote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.โ
When I read this verse, it reminds me that through daily devotion to prayer, we can remain alert and thankful. Prayer has many benefits, and positions us to receive blessings from the Lord. Just being in His presence and taking time to quietly listen as He speaks to our hearts, is one of the greatest blessings we could ever receive. Reflecting on all God has done, causes our hearts to overflow with thanksgiving and joy. He is so good to us.
As I celebrate Thanksgiving this week, I am thankful for your faithful support of this blog. You mean a lot to me. May God bless you and your families. For those celebrating, I pray you have a Happy Thanksgiving on Thursday. ๐โค๏ธ
Psalm 107:1 KJV, โO give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.โ
There is so much to be thankful for. Godโs goodness and mercy flow through our lives daily. Even when we encounter tough circumstances, we can still remain thankful knowing that He will never leave us. He always has a plan, so we do not have to worry about today or tomorrow.

Being thankful helps us to look beyond our troubles and see the bigger picture, the bigger picture of how big the God is that we serve. Thankfulness reminds us that through God all things are possible. Rejoice and give thanks, because Godโs grace is sufficient for our every need!
Philippians 4:6 NLT, โDonโt worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.โ
Iโm very familiar with the NIV version of this verse, but I recently read it in the NLT version that I mentioned above, and loved it just as much. We donโt need to worry or be anxious about anything. Itโs an honor and a privilege that through Christ Jesus, we can carry all of our needs to God in prayer. Nothing is too small for God to care about, and nothing is too big for Him to handle. We need to challenge ourselves to entrust all things to Him in prayer.

Itโs a joy that we can talk to God anytime and anyplace. There is no one formula when it comes to prayer. He delights in hearing our voice, as we tell Him what we need. He is our loving Father who cares about the details of our day. As we pray, we can joyfully thank Him for all He has done and all He will do in the days to come. Donโt worry, just pray to God, about everything.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT, โBe thankful in all circumstances, for this is Godโs will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.โ
I just love that no matter what, in all circumstances, we can be thankful. We can choose to look up to Jesus, and trust Him to supply our needs in even the most difficult times. Although thankfulness may not naturally be our first response in all circumstances, we can choose to be thankful anyway because God is in control. As we give God thanks, we can expect the Lord to fill our hearts with joy, and work in our lives as we honor His will above our own. A thankful heart allows us to see life from Godโs perspective, even in trials. I was encouraged by this poem by Yonnie at YonnieInHisCare, โBe Thankful In Troubleโ.
Have a blessed day and may Godโs Spirit give you continued strength as you choose to live a life of thankfulness.

Genesis 18:13-14, โ13 Then the Lord said to Abraham, โWhy did Sarah laugh and say, โWill I really have a child, now that I am old?โ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.โ
Thankful Thought: Thank you Lord that nothing is too hard for you, with you all things are possible. I thank you that you are not limited by my physical or intellectual capabilities. Your timing for me is perfect, and your purpose for me will prevail.
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Heavenly Father,
I praise you that I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). My body is a temple of your Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), thank you for abiding within me. You use the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and weak things to shame the strong, I praise you my Lord (1 Corinthians 1:27). Thank you that you can do more than I can ask or imagine according to your power that is at work within me (Ephesians 3:20). With you all things are possible, when I believe. (Mark 9:23). Thank you Lord.
In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Thank you for praying with me over the last five days. May praise and thanksgiving to our Lord continually be on your lips. May His joy and love overflow in your life as you serve Him with all of your heart!
