Stay Tuned In

Galatians 5:16 NLT, “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.”

Most of us can probably agree that it is not always easy to live by the Holy Spirit. As the verse mentions, the sinful nature rises up to entice us. Plus, we live in a hectic world that sends us many signals, signals that work to draw our hearts and minds away from the Lord. Remaining intentional about staying tuned in to the voice and leading of the Holy Spirit will help us to not be lead astray.

When we read and meditate on God’s Word, it will strengthen us so our thoughts and actions stay in line with His will. And honest communication with the Lord about everything through prayer, will remind us that He is with us, is sovereign over our lives and loves us unconditionally. Exchanging our worries for prayer, will also lead us to God’s perfect peace.

We all have times in life where we go through difficult challenges, and our faith and trust in God are tested. During these times, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us may seem especially hard, but no matter what circumstances we find ourselves in, God is willing to help us in our time of need. Remember, nothing we face is too hard for God and He is faithful to us. He never changes. His love always remains the same.

Psalm 36:5 ESV, “Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.”

Stay tuned in to the Lord. He promises to direct our paths as we trust Him.

  1. Such a meaningful post. When worries come along, I find it more difficult to stay tuned in. Some days are just too difficult to even focus on much at all. I appreciate the reminder that we need to be intentional. Thank you for this, Dawn! I hope you have a lovely week. ♥️

    1. Thanks Bridget! And I understand what you mean. I struggle to focus too at times. And I felt God nudge me recently to worry less and to meditate on His Word more. So I am trying also to be more intentional about this. Enjoy your week too! ❤️

  2. Love this reminder to abide in Him, to be led by the spirit. Staying tuned to Him. I find that it is easy to be distracted with many things and to be honest it is so easy to take the lazy approach to either spend any free minute on the phone or doing something else instead of being intentional about spending time with God. Thank you Dawn 💙

    1. You’re welcome, Manu. And I agree, many distractions. Laziness is one of our worst enemies lol. May we be diligent to seek His face, especially in these uncertain times. I’m glad He is our rock. Blessings! 💕

  3. Thanks for the reminder, Dawn. We may get swallowed by the hectic world and sinful thoughts. Because that’s the tactic of the enemy, to steal, kill, and destroy. Staying tuned into God’s love and unfailing promises will keep us strong and steadfast no matter the storms. Much love and God bless.

    1. You’re welcome, Sanjo. I agree, the enemy is always on the prowl. May we stay alert. When I was in the army, they used to say, stay alert stay alive lol. Have a wonderful rest of your week. Love and blessings to you!

      1. I’ve had been to the army, too, in 2019. It’s a necessary thing for high school graduates to serve the army for 3 months, where they’re told resilience, work, and patriotism. That was our motto, too.

        You’re so welcome.
