Trust the Love of Jesus

The other day, I came across this writing that I wrote some time ago. I can not remember if I shared it on the blog before, but even if the words are familiar, I hope it encourages you to continue to “Trust the Love of Jesus.”

Life is full of ups and downs. In the ups of life, it is easier to believe that Jesus loves us. But what about the down times?

Believing Jesus loves you can be more of a struggle when life does not go as expected. We often experience disappointments that bring us to tears, tragedies that leave us in shock, and emotional hurts that leave us breathless. It is during these times that we have to press in to believe in and receive the love of Jesus. His love for us is real and unconditional. He loves us through our failures, disappointments and hurts.

Understanding the love of Jesus is a lifelong process. Although our minds have a knowledge of His love, our hearts have to learn to understand it day by day, as we go through the various challenges and seasons of life.

So during the difficult moments of life, cry out to our Lord. Remember His past faithfulness and trust Him to provide your needs today and tomorrow.

Lamentations 3:22-23 CEB, “Certainly the faithful love of the Lord hasn’t ended; certainly God’s compassion isn’t through! They are renewed every morning. Great is your faithfulness.”

  2. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the love of Jesus and how it can be challenging to believe in it during difficult times. Life can bring disappointments, tragedies, and emotional hurts that can leave us overwhelmed and uncertain. But as you mentioned, it is during these times that we must press in to believe in and receive the love of Jesus.

His love for us is absolute, unconditional, and never-ending. Even when we fail or face challenges, He is there to love us and support us. As you quoted from Lamentations 3:22-23, “Certainly the faithful love of the Lord hasn’t ended; certainly God’s compassion isn’t through! They are renewed every morning. Great is your faithfulness.”

Thank you for the reminder to cry out to our Lord during difficult moments and to trust in His love and faithfulness.

    Blessings to you,

These words you wrote ring so true. We may have the knowledge but living it out trusting in him through various seasons of life is a different thing and is a process for sure. Thank you for this encouraging reminder Dawn.

    1. You’re welcome Manu. Yeah, knowing is one thing but living what we know is quite another. I’m glad God’s mercy, love, and grace endure. It’s interesting how we go through different seasons and experience different feelings but God’s love remains the same and with each challenge, we are growing. Have a blessed week. 💕☀️

Wow, this revelation just reminds me of a sermon i recently listened from Trvis Greene titled, THE VALLEY. He says that the valley is the most prefferable point for God to teach us the most important lessons He must teach us. This is because in the mountain top the dew(the much he avails to us for learning) most times ticles down and we don’t get much out of it unlike in the valley where everything is at rest. The valley, the low points, the hard times…

Thank you for your amazing article, #Trust the love of Jesus.

  6. Indeed, when we are facing trials it is hard to believe that Jesus loves us and still cares about us. After hurricane Irma, the regional oversear wrote us a letter of consolation and the part that stood out for me was when he said that we may not understand the hand of God but we can trust His heart. Praise the Lord. Thanks for this encouraging post.

    1. Thanks for sharing what the regional oversear said, “we may not understand the hand of God but we can trust His heart.” Those words have encouraged me this morning. And how awesome that you have a leader who would say this. You’re welcome, have a blessed week. ❤️

  7. Sometimes when Aaron has a bad day at his day group, one of the supervisors who loves him reminds us that tomorrow is a new day and a new start. You have reminded us so well that this is also true of our Heavenly Father. New day, new mercies, new faithfulness. Blessings, Dawn!

  8. Amen! This post reminds me of the encouragement I received last year when my wife and I provided home care for my mother after she broke her hip. We really had no idea what circumstances and challenges we would face. Trusting in the Lord’s strength helped both of us to faithfully complete our two-month journey. Blessings to you Dawn, and peace be with you.

  9. Amen about learning to understand his love day by day! I kinda view it as a father towards his beloved children in how he disciplines and sees the needs and anticipates how to love them. Thanks for posting!
