Matthew 26:74-75 NKJV, ”74 Then he began to curse and swear, saying, “I do not know the Man!”Immediately a rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly.“
It is easy to read these verses and think, “How could Peter deny Jesus, the Son of God?” But before I judged Peter, I had to stop and ask myself, “What ways have I denied Jesus?”
I’ve discovered that in my own life there have been times where I was just as guilty as Peter. Denying Jesus can come in various forms, such as moments where we choose not to stand up for His truth or we choose to do our own will instead of His. We have to ask God to help us daily not to fall prey to the ways of the world.
The world is constantly encouraging us to deny Jesus and His truth. But as Jesus reminds us in John 14:6, “I am the way and the Truth and the life.” May we be diligent in our mission to boldly share the truth of Jesus with others, not only with our words but through our actions.

So true, before judging Peter, we all need to self-examine our own lives and motives. Thanks for sharing.😇

Such a thought provoking post. Thank you for sharing this. I agree. I imagine we all have denied Jesus at times. I pray we can learn to keep our hearts turned towards Him. Always. And this will help us to do what’s right in each moment. ✝️💜🙌🙏

We have to ask ourselves, in what ways have we denied Jesus. That really stood out to me. We Might not verbally say so but in various subtle ways we do deny him.
A thought provoking word Dawn.
Thank you for sharing 🌺 😊

Every day, we have to stay close to His love. So we don’t give room for the world, to come between His love, and our hearts!

Yes we have to be very intentional Warren about guarding our hearts.

Even after his failure, Jesus restored Peter. The love of Jesus compels me to want to share him.
But there are those times when I feel called to spend time with him but I am lazy.

Unfortunately we all have those lazy days big brother. But I too am thankful for God’s restoration! His grace and mercy surpass our weaknesses.

I was told a very funny story by another pastor during home fellowship. The story goes like this. During the years this pastor was employed, he used to see his church mates over lunch hour break and he would get very excited. So this one time he meets a brother who was in a company of other colleagues while on the other side of the road. So this pastor gets very excited and calls him, brother so so, PRAISE THE NAME OF THE LORD HALLELUJAH!!!!! . This is the funniest part. This guy crossed the road came to the side of the road where the pastor was and warned him to never embarrass him again with such greetings when he is in a company of his colleagues. hehe…May the Lord help us to reject the spirit of Peter. Thanks for sharing.

Lol. This is an great example of one of the ways we can reject who we are in Christ when we are around certain people. Yes may God help us to reject the spirit of Peter!!Thanks for sharing Cynthia!

Apt! We are some times like Peter. Every decision we make thinking of what’s best for us rather than “kingdom best” is like that too.
Thanks for pointing this out, sis. 🤗

You’re welcome sis. Asking God for wisdom has become one of my regular prayer request, so I can make decisions that please Him. It’s so easy to go astray if our focus is on ourselves instead of Him. 💕🌸

Amen. This is so true. We do deny Christ when we disobey His words and do not stand up for the truth. This is an eye opening for me and I want to thank you for allowing the Lord to use you as an encourager to us. God bless you my friend.

You’re welcome. My own writing is a needed reminder for me too. So many are denying Jesus. We must stand strong. We have a local pastor (and 16 other men)at a pretty large church in the area who were arrested for a prostitution scandal. 😢 We must keep looking up to Jesus.
Blessings upon your week. Hugs! 🙏🏿❤️
