Boundaries Are Good

Exodus 19:12 NLT, “Mark off a boundary all around the mountain. Warn the people, ‘Be careful! Do not go up on the mountain or even touch its boundaries. Anyone who touches the mountain will certainly be put to death.”

Just like He did with the Israelites in this verse, God also sets boundaries in our lives. He knows that certain actions, situations, or people will lead us down the path of destruction. We have to trust God, and believe that He only wants what is best for us. He is all wise and all knowing, and we can not let our own desires, curiosity, or impatience cause us to disobey the Lord.

Something may seem right from our view, but God knows it is not right for us; He can see the big picture, so we must trust His wisdom. Godly well balanced boundaries are good, pray and ask God to help you create and maintain healthy boundaries in your life.

  1. I agree Dawn that the boundaries God sets for us protect us in more ways that we might imagine. Often viewed as restrictive but truthfully for our protection is what Godly boundaries are.
    Blessings to you 🤗🌺

    1. Thank you Manu. Yes, it is for our protection. We have to remember God loves us and wants to keep us from harm no matter how much the world tries to convince us that we’re missing out on “fun”. Blessings to you too. Enjoy your week. 🤗💕

  2. I’m reading and studying through Deuteronomy. God’s commands for His people were all for very good and godly reasons. The same is true for His children today. He loves us so much, and we need to trust Him. Blessings, Dawn, and thanks for another encouraging blog.

  3. Amen! I agree. When the Lord established a boundary in our lives we must abide by it. One boundary that God put in my life is never to post pretty pictures of my personal life on Facebook.

  4. I’ve found if I’m being sensitive to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, He will tell me when I’m about to go out of bounds. God’s ways truly are loving—especially when I don’t act like a lug head. Blessings!

  5. Yes sis. We can trust God’s ways and guidance. It’s important for us to know this – He is the Beginning and the End of everything so all that goes in between it is known to Him as well. 📌
    Happy weekend big sis.❤️
