Cling to God’s Word

Psalm 119:105 NLT, “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”

This verse is a reminder that we need to cling to the Word of God, the Holy Bible. His Word teaches us His truth and guides us as we navigate this life. It convicts us when we are wrong and confirms us when we are right. It comforts us when we are sad, and strengthens us when we are weak. It fills our hearts with joy and gives us hope for each day. It assures us of God’s unconditional love. Everyday we need to feast upon His Word. His Word will stand forever (Isaiah 40:8).

  1. Clinging to the Word of God can be challenging, in this fallen world, but it’s absolutely the best way to go. Thank you for the reminder, Dawn! What is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Blessings!

  2. Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

  3. Dawn, thanks for sharing this verse from Psalm 119. As you wrote, the verse reminds us to reach to grasp God’s Word. Your use of the verb “cling” is so meaningful. When we cling to His Word, the potter’s hand transforms our lives day by day.
