1 Corinthians 4:13-18 (NIV) 13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Do you ever feel challenged by God’s command to walk by faith? Although walking by faith is a privilege as a Christian, it is not always easy. It requires us to give God our hearts daily and trust Him wholeheartedly.
Living by faith does not mean that we ignore reality. Instead, it means we believe God for the best outcomes as we take life one day at a time and endure its challenges. Even when things do not go as we planned, we still by faith trust God to work all things together for our good as he promised he would in Roman 8:28, because we love him and are called according to his purpose
Living by faith means that we understand there is more to life than what we see. Faith believes in the unseen, and it propels us to move forward even when we do not understand. While walking by faith, we will encounter times of joy and hope, but also may encounter times of fear and uncertainty.
Nevertheless, we are commanded to not shrink back. Hebrews 10:38-39 says, “And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back. But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.”

Perfect word for the time that we’re in! Meditating on the word is what keeps me from shrinking back. It brings about an assurance and peace; as well as reminder of God’s faithfulness.

Great words for our days at this moment in history! I shrink back in faith by reading the Word. God’s words jump off the page and are such a tremendous encouragement and reinforcement to me to keep on trusting and walking by faith.

Prayer and reading scripture helps me stay focused on Him. Praising God helps keep fear and anxiety at bay. And remembering how He carried me through previous times helps me to wait on Him to act in His timing and wisdom.
Blessings to you 💙

Walking by faith is continually putting one foot in front of the other regardless of how we feel. I was reminded today that we need to take whatever we are facing and lay it at the feet of Jesus, where we get our rest.

I always feel challenged to walk by faith. The Bible said the just shall live by faith so if I am going to be part of the just I must live by faith because without faith it is impossible to please God. As you stated it is a daily walk of simply trusting the Lord. Thanks for this encouraging devotions. It is good to know that we are not alone but we are in this together- trusting and believing the Lord. Have a great day. 🙂❤

Keeping our focus on Jesus helps us keep going in the midst of this life. We may not see the answers until we enter eternity but he is always with us.
