Now Faith Is…

Hebrews 11:1 NIV, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

I remember some years ago, I was making a copy on the copier machine at work. When I went to grab the copy off the machine, the paper was blank. I held the paper up to the light to see if I was missing something, but I wasn’t. The paper was really blank. As I held the paper up to the light, I remember the Holy Spirit gently speaking to my heart and saying, “Faith is not what is seen, but what is unseen.” I don’t know why God chose the copier machine to remind me to have faith, but I’m glad He did.

As Christians, we get to live our lives by faith, having a confident hope in God, knowing that He will perform His perfect will in our lives. We can be sure of His love, be sure of His protection, and be sure of His provision. We are not limited by what we can see. The things we can see in the natural, are only a portion of the bigger things that God is doing in our lives, in the world around us, and especially in eternity to make preparations for our entrance into heaven.

John 14:2 NIV, “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?”

Keep walking by faith and remain confident in the Lord’s ability to take care of you!

  2. Amen. Don’t we all need this reminder always. We must ask God to increase our faith in Him. We need Him every hour and everyday. We cannot do life without our Maker. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. The Holy Spirit surely has ways to remind us of the message in His heart for us. Stay Blessed Dawn 🙏🏿

  3. Praise God! I am so glad that we are not limited by what we can see. God is awesome. Your experience with the copier is a great reminder. The Lord sometimes used simple things to remind us of big things.
Also, I think you will need a lot of faith to walk down that stairs in the picture. 🙂.
I also need some faith to tackle WordPress blocks. I cannot seem to get the hang of it. Fortunately, I noticed that when I click on “all post” there is an option to select the classic under your saved post. 🙂🙏

    1. Those steps were a little scary looking lol! That’s why I chose them. 😉That’s good that you can still use the classic version of WP. You can practice the block version in your spare time. 🤗

  6. Loved this article Ms. Dawn! So many just can’t understan how Christians can have faith in something unseen. But it’s only unseen to unbelievers and when they say these thiings I think it’s a perfect opening to witness!!
