Psalm 136:1 NIV, “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.”
Life is better when we have hearts that are thankful. Even on our most difficult days, we can be thankful knowing that God is there with us, since He promised He’d never leave us alone.
It’s normal at times to feel frustrated or weary. However we can still look to Him with thanksgiving because He understands our feelings. He will give us peace of mind, and strengthen us in our weakness. We can pray and ask God to help us to remain thankful, so that we can see our circumstances from His perspective.
When we hope in Him, He will often let us know in simple and unexpected ways that He is with us. There is no burden we have that the Master can’t carry for us. Cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

So true! It’s normal to feel frustrated sometimes but it’s important to be thankful and pour all your worry onto God. Great post

Thanks Dawn for this gentle reminder on thankfulness. Indeed he is with us always…
Giving thanks opens the door to God’s presence. And oh, how we need His presence in our hearts, homes and everyday life!
“Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving…” Psalm 95:2
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.” Psalm 100:4
Jesus gave thanks – and He is our Example and Lord. Don’t we want to be like Him? This is a very simple way to please and imitate Him.

What a rhema word for me this evening as I sit “waiting” 😊. I especially love the part about God reminding us in simple ways that He is with us. Yesterday as I drove home from running errands I saw a tree filled with green leaves and the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart by saying “I can turn leaves into money”. My mind immediately went to the Red Sea experience and how it was parted for the Israelites to cross on dry land. Today as I shared the Holy Spirit’s thought with my mom, she reminded me of Jesus’s miracle of the coin in the fish that was used to pay for taxes. Our God is a God of miracle – so now Dawn, your reminder to be thankful causes me to turn my focus back to Christ and have a heart to gratitude. Thanks big Sis 🥰

So thankful you found it helpful! He is the God of miracles. He can turn things around suddenly and make a way like He did at the Red Sea. Thanks for reminding me of these miraculous Stories from God’s Word. I’m waiting too…but He has a great plan for us. Keep trusting Him lil sis! 🥰
