Matthew 6:11 NIV, “Give us today our daily bread.”
Lately, I have thought of this verse to remind myself that the Lord is willing to give us our daily bread to navigate our lives. Not only through the trials we may face but also to get through our daily tasks and responsibilities. We just simply have to be willing to ask for help and then surrender to God and trust Him to answer. James 4:2 reminds us that we have not because we ask not.

When we keep our focus on Jesus, we can take courage knowing He loves us and that even in the midst of our difficulties, He is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). The lessons we are learning will make us even more wise and teach us more about the character of our God. And we never know who is watching us; how we act and what we say can inspire others and shine the Light of Jesus into their lives.
God sends us the people and resources we need to help us. He is the source of anything good and He is willing to share His goodness with us everyday. It’s a simple truth that is easy to overlook, especially when we feel pressure to have all the answers. But it’s true, all we have to do is ask.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Give us today our daily bread.
In Jesus name. Amen.

Amen 🙏🏽 whatever I have to do each day Lord, give me what I need for it. A reminder of the dependence we are to have on Him for each and every thing as God is the one who sustains us.
Blessings to you, Dawn 💙

Your words reminded me that I need to be intentional about seeking the Lord and the daily bread. Often, life’s distractions take my focus and I simply don’t think about leaning on Him for my daily needs. I’m so thankful He doesn’t give up on us. Thank you for this beautiful post, Dawn! ♥️

We as humans forget that all we have comes from God… he’s the orchestra of our own very lives. The fact that we’re breathing, healthy, and properly functioning is because of something more powerful and mighty… what on earth makes us believe we are the ones in control!? Your message, Dawn, is a reminder that our lives and everything we have comes from him, may we be humble in that knowing my friend. Keep on the good work for always spreading light, God bless🙏.

Thanks Sanjo! It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we’re in control but it doesn’t take much for us to find out we’re not. You made a great point…having a spirit of humility is key. Humility allows us to rely on God, be in a place to receive His blessings and help others. You keep on shining too, my friend. Blessings! 🙏
