Hebrews 5:7,“During the days of Jesus’ earthly life, He offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His reverence.”
Jesus cried out to the One who could save Him and He was heard because of His reverence.
Sometimes in the hustle of life, it can be easy to forget that God sees our tears and hears our cries. He is waiting patiently for us to come to Him in prayer. Bringing our petitions to the Lord is a way of showing Him the reverence He is due, it recognizes His sovereignty over our lives.

I recently was stressing out about something, not even realizing I was neglecting to pray. When it occurred to me to say a simple prayer, the very next morning, my prayer was answered. I felt overjoyed and was thankful! It was a reminder to me of the importance of quickly carrying my needs to God in prayer.
Is there something that is troubling you today? No need is too great or too small. The Lord is patiently waiting to hear from you, right now.
Like Jesus, cry out to the One who can save you.

I cry out to Him often. A lot of the time for things that seem trivial; like a parking spot close to the store entrance or something I have misplaced. It always amazes me how many times God will answer my prayers; big or small! He is so faithful!

Amen! Rather than dwelling on worries and concerns, we need to reach out to God.
I believe in the power of the Lord, the one that can save us, and the power of prayer. Great reminder, Dawn! 🥰🌺

The Omnipresent God will always hear our prayers. He knows our heart’s cry and is ready to help us. The nature and weight of the problems at times can create distraction. We are prone to try solve situations and sometimes forget to turn to the one who will lead us on the right path. Solution: Let us practice to be quick to pray so it can becomes easier to turn to the Lord when problems arise.

Your words remind me of the hymn that says we are, “prone to wander.” That is a great solution…may God help us to remember to quickly come to Him in prayer. Thank you Maurice! 😊

What you shared about stressing about something that you did not even realise you did not pray about it. I felt that sentence, I know that I have done that many times. I keep fretting and forget that for the time I keep worrying I should be taking it to God in prayer.
Glad you got your answer to your prayer.
Blessings Dawn 💙💐

Praise God for his patience with us, providing the Holy Spirit to intercede for us with groans that words cannot express (Romans 8:26). I too am on the learning curve for how quickly I can turn to God in prayer when faced with a challenge!

Amen. In all our ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our path. So even if we might not see the answer right away the Lord is at work making it right. So glad that you received a quick response to your prayers. Evidence of the power of prayer 🙏

Thanks Beverley. Although the Lord has His purpose in our times of waiting, I am certainly also glad for the times He moves quickly.
