With the stress of today’s world, we are presented with opportunities to be offended on a regular basis. This verse, challenges us to overlook offenses; however, it is wisdom that will help us to know how to handle a situation. Sometimes we have to confront people, but other times it is wise to patiently extend mercy and let go.

    1. I’m not very confrontational in terms of face to face confrontation. But I have been guilty of holding things in my heart. So I am asking God for wisdom and discernment to know what to do in various situations so I can honor Him. Thanks Manu, blessings!

      1. I am the same as you Dawn. I don’t like and also avoid face to face confrontation but that does not mean I have let go of things also. May we seek Him for wisdom and discernment in such situations.

  1. This is a powerful post! And a needed reminder in our world. It is so easy to get offended. And that is what everyone seems to do so readily these days. May we learn to walk in the love of the Lord and seek His wisdom. Thank you for sharing. 🤗

  2. Apt! And I can relate with this. I prayed a prayer on this yesterday “Lord give me the courage to let go of things I can’t change”. It’s wisdom to know when to confront and when to let go. Above all, we can draw strength from God on either of it that He nudges us to. 🙌🏼

  3. I totally agree with you that we need wisdom when it comes to dispute. Sometimes we have to forgive and release the person who offends us. We have to know which battle to fight. As a matter of fact, it is best to allow God to fight our battles. Thanks for this reminder, my sister.

    1. You’re welcome. Wisdom is much needed. It pays to think before we speak. You’re right, letting God fight for us is a blessing. He has already worked things out when we are trying to fix it ourselves.
