When Do You Make The Tough Decisions?

Thanks Deborah @ Great Is God’s Faithfulness for this thoughtful writing reminding us that prayer for our schools is much needed as students, teachers, and other faculty/staff members are preparing to return to school. Thanks for all you do Deborah as a teacher! Let’s join Deborah in prayer. 🙏🏿🙏🏻🙏🏽🙏🙏🏾

Great Is God's Faithfulness

stack of love wooden blocksWith school around the corner, my mind is shifting into “school mode.” After reading a post by Brenda @ Becoming His Tapestry, I started thinking about our “intruder drill.”

I will always remember the first drill we practiced. The teacher sat down with the class and talked about what we needed to do if a person came into our school who wanted to hurt us. She told us our safe place was under the large semi-circle table in the corner of the room and to be very quiet so they could not find us.

At the appointed time, the Principal announced the code alerting us that an intruder was in our building. The children calmly and quietly walked to the safe place and hid under the table while the teacher and I turned off our lights, locked and barricaded the door. Once the teacher and I joined the children…

Trusting God Through Changes

Psalm 32:8 NLT, “The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” My daughter and I have been living in Florida for about four years now. Colossians 3:2-3 NIV, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” I’ve been meditating on these verses over the last couple of days. They remind me that my priority should be on eternal things. Earthly things should not take precedence … Continue reading Hidden Safely With Christ

Lamentations 3:22-23 KJB, “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Every morning we can wake up and start a new day knowing that the Lord’s mercy and compassion are with us. He understands what we are going … Continue reading Great Is Thy Faithfulness

God of all comfort

Thank you Deandra@Imago Dei for this encouraging writing. God’s Comfort is so special, and it comes in different forms as you have reminded us.

Imago Dei

I want to start off the first promise of these series of God’s promises with the above verse (in an effort to help with my and maybe your struggle with spiritual amnesia).

It is a strange verse to use when introducing the promises of God but I feel it incumbent upon me to not sugar coat what we face in our day to day life. Since we all have diverse issues that we are dealing with, I want us to be reminded that God is using all our afflictions for His glory. So whether they are to refine us or to refine those around us, we can rest in the fact our Heavenly Father has chosen them all.

I also want to emphasize that it may not be…
