The Way to Success

Joshua 1:8, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Success can look different from one person to the next, but that is the beauty of following God’s plan for your life, it is crafted just for you. It can be a challenge not to limit ourselves to the world’s idea of success. We may feel like we have failed if we do not accomplish everything society says we should. However, the Lord has a unique plan for each of us (Jeremiah 29:11), and when we follow that plan, we will succeed. His Word is full of truth and insight that will lead us to a successful life.

God uses people to inspire us, encourage us, and help us, we can learn from one another. However, there will always be someone else who has more or who has done more. So understanding what God desires for you, will keep you from wasting time, energy, and money on useless endeavors.

Our time on Earth is short compared to eternity in heaven with the Lord, so with God’s help, we must make the most of our time as we journey through this life. As long as you are following God’s individual plan for your life, you are a success. Don’t let the world’s definition of success, or someone else’s social media post, define what you should do with your life. God is not limited to the standards of this world.

I pray God will continue to guide you as you serve Him with your life.

  1. Great post, Dawn! It can be so easy to look around and feel that we don’t have enough or haven’t achieved enough. Social media definitely plays into that mindset as well. May we learn to keep our eyes on Jesus. He is enough and He will help us to find true contentment. Blessings! 🤗💜

  2. Such an encouraging post Dawn. To focus on God’s plan for each of our lives and let that define it rather than the world’s view of success and achievement. We can be content if we chase after what the world throws at us.
    Blessings 😊💙

  3. The busy competitive world can distract us from what is important. We need; to take time to pray, listen, and discern God’s plan; our path. A good reminder, Dawn. Blessings! 💖🌷🌺
