Welcome Godly Advice

Proverbs 11:14 NASB, “Where there is no guidance the people fall, But in an abundance of counselors there is victory.”

We all need people in our lives who can help us to stay on the right track, people who will advise us according to God’s Word, people who are walking in His truth. In fact, the Bible warns us not to seek counsel from ungodly people (Psalm 1:1). Trying to live for Christ by ourselves is not the way God intended it to be, we must pray for one another and keep one another encouraged. We must also pray for those in authority, that God will help them to make wise decisions. May we all help each other to stay on that narrow path that leads to life (Matthew 7:14).

  1. In today’s society I fear that more and more people want to be left alone and do not appreciate sound advice. But as Christians, I pray we recognize that we were built for community, where helping one another is a two way street. Thank you for this encouraging reminder.

    1. That’s true. I think it could be because society promotes a “feel good all about me” culture where people are encouraged to think of themselves above others and do what they want without anyone interfering, but yes we as Christians should be different. Thanks Bridget! ❤️

  2. Dawn this is so true. Thank you for sharing your words of wisdom. Ending your day with scripture really helps too. I have not gone back physically to church but I attend virtually and I pray throughout the day. These are indeed challenging times when we need one another’s prayers. They sure do work. God hears the prayers. Beautiful. Have a blessed week. Love ❤️ Joni

    1. Ending the day with Scripture is a wonderful way to set our minds at peace. I have not gone back to the building, my mom and I still attend virtually as well. I am thankful we can pray throughout the day. Thanks Joni. Love you too ❤️

  4. The Bible said that we must confess our faults with each other and pray for each other so that we will be healed. We need each other. Thanks for sharing and have a great week in the Lord.
