Don’t Conceal Sin

Proverbs 28:13 NLT, “People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.”

The temptation to hide sin or make excuses for sin can sometimes arise. But God knows all. Unconfessed sin will surely hinder our progress in our walk with God. He understands our weaknesses, and is willing to forgive us when we confess. There is freedom in our repentance.

Recognizing there is a problem, giving it to God in prayer, and then asking for His help to do better, frees us up to live boldly for Jesus. Confess all your sins and struggles to the Master, open your heart right now to receive His mercy in exchange for you confession. He will never stop loving you and will help you to do better.

    1. Acknowledging it is definitely the first step. It can be a struggle to let some sins go but with God’s help, we can strive to have lives that line up with His word. Thank you Manu ❤️

  1. Dawn, I agree, it is important to have an open and truthful relationship with God. He can’t help us unless we are honest and confess our transgressions to Him. He is waiting for us to reach out to Him. 💖🌼💐🌺

  2. Just this morning I was thinking about this. We can hide from each other but we cannot hide from God. One day He will turn the night into day for many people who likes to hide their wrong in the dark. May the Lord help us. Have a blessed day.

  3. Hiding it does us no good. Glad we have an high priest who we can be free to confess our sins to and He readily forgives us.
It’s also important to not go back to it after we have confessed it to Him. 🙌
Thank you for sharing this, sis. ❤

  4. We can all slip into temptation from time to time due to our spiritual battle with human nature. It can even be a thought that we entertain, not always actions, BUT we DO serve a merciful Lord that desires (at the very least) that none should perish and He is willing to forgive those sins that we acknowledge and confess. Let Grace and Mercy do its work in your lives!! ❤ 😉

Thanks Dawn for presenting this and Bruce Mills for sharing it! God Bless!!!
