Here are the questions:

  1. Do you celebrate Halloween? Why or why not?
I never really gave much thought to Halloween until years ago, when an ex-witch, (who is now an evangelist who preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ) came to my church and taught us the truth about Halloween. I do not celebrate it, but I confess, if the activities committee at work decides to leave candy on my desk, I will eat it! Lol. I think I took my daughter trick or treating once when she was in about 4th grade, but never took her again. She attended the alternative events at church instead. The ex-witch strongly suggested that Christians just shut the church down completely on this night, because she said the witches laugh at us with our “Halloween alternative events”. She said Halloween is their highest holy day. But you know, everyone has to do what they feel lead to do regarding this. As the scripture says let us live up to what we’ve attained (Philippians 3:15-16). If the Holy Spirit has convicted you, don’t celebrate it. If he hasn’t, pray about it, listen for His voice and continue to do what you feel He’s leading you to do.

2. Cookie Monsters!Do you like to watch scary movies? Why or why not?
I used to be a huge fan of horror movies. Watching them was a thrill for me and it didn’t produce fear. But about 11 years ago, God delivered me from my obsession with horror movies. The closer I got to Jesus the more I disliked them. Watching them became scary. I could sense the presence of evil in them. During this time of year they show many horror movies, but I refuse to watch them. In the beginning it was really hard to not be tempted. Even now I have to be on my guard.

3. Name 3 of your greatest fears.

Horror movies lol

Some reptiles

Heights

4. When was the last time you scared someone?

I don’t think I have lately. I walk lightly so sometimes I startle people. They don’t hear me coming.

5. Do you believe in ghosts, angels, and/or demons?

Angels and demons, yes! Ghost, no!

6. Do you ever get déjà vu? What do you think it means?

Yes this has happened to me before. It’s a very strange feeling.

7. What are two of your favorite candies?

Twix and sour patch kids

      1. You can copy and paste the bloggers web address or the link address to their post into your post. But then you can rename it in WordPress. I’ll see if I can find some official instructions.

      2. Okay, thank you. I was wondering how people are able to tag the name of other blogs. I don’t know why I am able to tag the link but not the name of the blog.

        Side note: Cute new picture.

      3. Are you using the app or a desktop. I know how to do it on the app. On app: when you start a new post, there is a little icon that looks like a paper clip ( next to the B and I). Click there then you can insert the bloggers web address and where it says Link Text you can insert the bloggers name. I’ll try and post screenshots. Not sure if I can.

        @sidenote… thank you!

  1. Loved your answers! Sour patch kids are the bomb! I had heard from someone who read up on satanists practices, that Halloween was their holy day and that they spend all month fasting against Christians and all things God—I’m sure it’s the same or close with witches, warlock, etc. From the way things get around this time of year, I think it must be for longer periods of time now. I’m not a fan of this holiday for sure! But greater is He who lives in me! 🙂

  2. I like that you said, do what you feel lead to do. While our family doesn’t celebrate Halloween, we have handed out candy. Currently we live in a basement suite, so we don’t have kids coming to the door, but my mother-in-law does hand out candy. It’s a great way to get to know her neigbors. Celebrating is in the heart, and I know where her heart is. It’s in loving her neighbors. ❤

  4. Big sis!. Loved the share. Scary movies are so not my thing too. And we don’t get to celebrate Halloween here though. But not a fan from pictures I have seen so far and remembered watching a teen movie one time ago and their imitation practically came real for them. It was ugly. 😪

One needs to be careful really.

  5. Hi Dawn. I acknowledge your tag. However, I will not pass it on since I do not celebrate Halloween. It is not part of my culture, but even if it was I would not celebrate it.

However, I will answer your questions in this comment.
    1. I agree totally with your views about Halloween. The Church do not need an alternative. We need to stop conforming to the world.

    2. I don’t watch horror movie because they promote fear.

3 & 4. I don’t admit to fear because fear is not of God.

Most of my life I have been plagued with fear until God revealed to me the origin of fear and delivered me from it. I try not to use the word fear when I speak. For example, “I am afraid of lizard etc etc.” Even though it might seem insignificant, the devil prey on these words that we used.

    5. Demons, ghost, angels are real. They do exist in the spirit realm. Demons and ghosts are demonic from Satan. Angels can be from God or Satan. One has to be careful and ensure that you are align with the Word of God.

    6. “déjà vu.” That word needs carefull studying. But, I beleive it is associated with psychic and divination. I don’t promote that feeling.

    7. No candies are my favorite, but I do have a sweet tooth that I am praying I will be delivered from.

Have a great week in the Lord.
