He Is Our Help

About 10 years ago, I attended a women’s breakfast at church and they gave us the magnet you see in the picture. In the beginning I had it in my desk at work, but for the majority of the time it has been on my refrigerator. I woke up this morning with this verse on my mind. Our help comes from the Lord. We can lift up our eyes to Him everyday. He will perfect everything concerning us (Psalm 138:8).

Psalm 121:1-8 KJV, “1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. 3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. 4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. 6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.“

  1. I’m so happy God’s our help all the time. It’s been a tough week for me after my husband had surgery. But God has been my comfort and my great helper. I’ve missed reading your posts.💓💓

  2. This psalms is a powerful prayer. I remembered when my son had heart surgery ans was in the ICU. Every morning when I visited him and saw all the tubes and machines attached to him, I was so overwhemled the only prayer I could do is this psalms. Thank you for sharing it. It is a great reminder that we have a source who we can go to.
