Rest In God’s Love

Romans 5:8 NKJV, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

When we are tempted to doubt God’s love for us, this verse gives us the reassurance we need. God sent His son Jesus to take our place, before we even knew we would need a Savior. God has always carried us in His heart, and knew us before we were in our mothers womb.

The love God has for us is not dependent on our actions, because He made amends for us before we were here to perform any actions.

The love He has for us that caused Him to send Jesus to the cross to die for our sins, is the same love He has for us right now today. He ask us to trust in Him and receive His love.

It’s so simple to question God and doubt His love when we focus on our circumstances. But when we refocus on Jesus, and remember that God demonstrated His love for us through Him, it awakens our hope and strengthens our faith.

Rest in God’s love. He will never fail you. He will supply your needs.

  1. Amen! Thanks for sharing this. I believe this verse sums up the depth of God’s love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us! In our lost condition, hopeless and helpless against sin, our Heavenly Father provided the only way out. We can’t earn this love and we certainly don’t deserve it, yet God in His mercy chose to bring salvation down to us because of His undying love for all.

  2. I love the fact that God’s love for us is so great, we cannot get our minds around it. Remembering the price Jesus paid for us brings the perspective we need whether we are praising Him, or getting our bearings regarding a situation. Blessings to you Dawn. ♥♥

  3. Very true sis. Keeping the focus on Him, sprout so much strength and courage we would have known it exist if we focused on our circumstances.

This has been the mantra for me in some weeks now – Thanks to Him, been a walk and an intentional one. But when He sees our readiness to walk the walk with Him (looking up to Him) He aids us.

    1. Amen little sis! What you said reminded me of this verse…Hebrews 11:6 NKJV, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
