Pray And Wait Expectantly!

Psalm 5:2-3 NIV, “Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”

When I read these verses it always stands out to me that the Psalmist waited expectantly. He knew that God heard his voice and that He would answer. He had faith and he had hope. It’s the same for us. We should pray and then wait expectantly. When we cry out to our God, He hears our prayers and will answer us.

Every new day that God allows us to see, is a new chance for us to know Him more and experience His goodness. It reminds me of a song we used to sing at church when I was little, “Everyday with Jesus is sweeter than the day before. Everyday with Jesus, I love Him more and more.”

Jesus is our living hope, who made everything possible. He will never fail us. Never stop praying. Never stop believing. Never stop expecting. God hears you.

  1. An absolute LOVE Sis! The message and timing is perfect and the pic is too! Thank You Lord for this message! Even though the Lord graces us with glimpses of what He’s doing in our lives and where He’s leading us, His timing is the part He often times withholds! I truly believe that this is one of the many purposes of our faith, helping us to hold onto the promises and purposes of the Lord!

“And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority….Acts 1:7

Jesus simply said, Pray And Wait Expectantly! After Jesus uttered these words, they went into the Upper Room and prayed and waited!!

“And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. 14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers…Acts 1:13-14

Thank You Lord for this message through Your servant!!

    1. Thanks so much for sharing! Yes the timing part really stretches our faith and teaches us to trust Him. But it’s amazing to grow in Him and wait expectantly each day. ❤️

  2. This is very inspiring to me and when you pray, believe and have faith in your prayers and have faith in God then you will not have problem to waiting in God and expect response and surely in due time all will happen.

    1. Amen! I try and remind myself that His purposes are eternal. He is an eternal God who always has eternity in mind. Sometimes we may want a quick fix, but He is working to bring things to perfection. His way and His time. ❤️

  3. When we cry out to God, He may change the situation immediately, often we have to wait for His perfect timing. The hard hits from the circumstance may be allowed to remain for His purpose and plan. But we can always lean on the precious Holy Spirit for comfort and peace, which enables us to live with joy.
