Rejoice And Be Glad

Psalm 118:24 NLT, “This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Every time the Lord allows us to see a brand new day, we can choose to “rejoice and be glad in it”. I like the idea that no matter what, we have a choice. Since His goodness and mercy are following us, we can confidently face each new day. God’s presence with us, surpasses any negative thing that may come our way. His love far outweighs even our greatest worries.

Rising above our circumstances and choosing to rejoice, may not always come naturally. However through Christ, we can supernaturally make a decision to trust God and rejoice. Through the power of the Holy Spirit working within us, God is able to do more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

  7. Amen! I appreciate the idea of having a choice about rejoicing in this day. Obviously, God wants us to be glad in this gift He has made, but like faith, it pleases His heart when we do it willingly.
    A wise friend once told me that we really have just two options at the start of each new day. One is to wake up and say, ‘Good god, it’s morning or the other: ‘Good Morning God! Today I chose the second one.

  10. Rejoicing is key for us to see at depth all His good will for us in all of His release and even intentions yet to be fulfilled.

    Rejoicing is Life, more reason why Paul admonished us “Rejoice in the Lord and again I say rejoice”.

    1. I love those words spoken by Paul! You’re welcome. No I will not be moving until late October/early November. Now I’m just trying to organize things for the move. I went through some more stuff today. Some things I can donate, some I can throw away. Thanks for asking. ❤️

  12. Every time, without fail, when I choose to rejoice in all things, God fills me with joy! Sometimes it takes me a while to come around, but when I do, I wish I had surrendered sooner because I feel so much better. 😊
