Psalm 17:6 NIV, “I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.”
I didn’t always have a prayer life, even as a Christian. But over the last fifteen years or so, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I have really learned to develop my prayer life. Doing so has made a real difference in me and in my life. Prayer has also helped me to walk in love towards others. Prayer puts things in perspective for me, because it is a way of putting God first. It is also a reminder of His constant presence with me.
Prayer is one of the greatest gifts that God has given us. Having the opportunity to talk to Him anytime of day or night about anything is an honor and a privilege. Jesus made it possible for us to be able to come into the presence of God, and get to know Him intimately.
Prayer allows us to cast our cares upon God. It allows us to ask Him for what we need. Even more importantly, it allows us to hear His voice as He speaks to us about our lives. When we pray, God promises to give us His peace in exchange for our requests.
We may not always understand right away how God is working in lives, but through prayer, we can rest knowing He hears us, and will always do what is best for us.
Prayer is indeed a privilege and something every Christian should be consistent and frequent in.

These past months of the last three years have been rather intense times of testing, where Abba has given me some instructions that required His strength and stretching. But something unusual began taking place, I began feeling and sensing a shift. I remember hearing the Lord say to me months ago the word “crowning,” and during this exchange He led me to read up on the delivery process. Here He taught me that in the kingdom and even in the natural, “this is a point of no return.” He told me that turning back wasn’t an option, NO MATTER the pain of difficulty. This makes me think about all the mothers who come and have come to this stage in their “delivery” process. And although I’ll never know what it’s like to experience a child birth beyond cutting the cord and snapping photos, in the kingdom, I’m gaining a pretty good perspective on how painful and difficult the birthing process of purpose and vision is. But here my Savior, My Lord, My coach is saying relax, stand still I got you.
So as I read the message that the Lord gave you, He used it to say to me, “I’ve heard your prayers, and I got you. This matters greatly because when I awaken in the morning’s my heart goes into prayer mode, but lately my prayers have been kind of sketchy. Of course I pray, thanking God for all the general things that many of us always pray for: life, health, strength, wisdom, etc.inclusive of repentance., but concerning that baby, His vision, His purpose, that’s in my heart and spirit, I can hardly find the words to pray for it.
But as I read your message this morning, the light bulb came on as He said, I’ve heard all your prayers and I got you. By faith just walk it out. It’s becoming even more clear to me, because Abba has been giving me confirmation upon confirmation, even during a period where He told me to stop publishing messages on WP, aside from the comment section.
My goodness Sis, thanks for yielding to the leading of the Holy Spirit!!
I echo this statement!
“We may not always understand right away how God is working in lives, but through prayer, we can rest knowing He hears us, and will always do what is best for us.”

Wow! This is beautiful, thanks so much for sharing! I love the way the Lord used the birthing process to speak to your heart. You have encouraged me and others by sharing it.
The test God allows us to endure make us stronger and more useful to do His work here on Earth. I too have been through periods where disciplining myself to pray gets hard. But thank His for His grace.
God does hear our prayers! We have to keep trusting Him to direct our paths. God bless you brother! May He continue to use you greatly as you serve Him.
I hope and pray that your planning for the Lock-In event is coming along well. 😊❤️

My husband and I asked God to do a particular thing for us after some time we stopped asking. Just a few weeks ago God answered our prayer. He was preparing something greater than what we asked for. Prayer is the key. It may take time, but God always provides us with greater things that are beyond our expectations. Thanks for sharing big sister.

Thanks for sharing this little sister! I love to hear these encouraging testimonies of answered prayer! It’s amazing how although you and your husband stopped asking, God still had the answer. Plus He did above and beyond what you were asking or thinking (Ephesians 3:20). So excited and thankful for you! ❤️

Dawn, your words and image resonate. What a beautiful picture of our relationship with our loving Father. The fact that God bends His ear low to listen to us communicates the value and love He has for us. Overwhelming. Thank you for sharing this precious part of your walk with us ♥

Prayer is essential Dawn, it is not optional. It is our time of communicating with our God. To commune, spend time talking to him. We can pray the word in different passages by placing our names there. Pray is a key faith unlock door to miracles.
I’m so grateful God hears us when we pray, he inclines his giving us his full attention. Thanks for posting Dawn , to God be the Glory 🙌🏽🙌🏽😊💜

Very true sis. Before now as well, prayer was always some routine and I would feel guilty if I didn’t engage in it because I didn’t want to be seen less of a child of God. But now, it’s more of a love and need for Him – can’t afford to stay away from your best friend for that long. 🙇
And understanding over a while now that it is interacting with God as He being our father and a friend changed my view about it. I could tell Him anything even when I am cranky and all I can state “God, I know you know that I am… but then I want you to know that I am angry but I need your help”. 🙈
I got to know via a book a while back about the “honest prayer” which is linked to the example I stated earlier. God wants us to communicate with Him as a friend and tell Him EVERYTHING, even though He already knows it all but it shows that you want Him involved in it and help you get through whatever it is you are going through – Acknowledging Him is key!.
Thanks for this reminder sis. 🙌
