Jesus Will Give You Peace

Isaiah 26:3 (NLT), “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”

Trusting in Jesus and keeping our thoughts fixed on him, will keep us living in perfect peace. When everything around us is spinning out of control, we can depend on Him to be steady. God is very much involved with the details of our lives, even when we feel otherwise. Just because we may not understand how He is working, does not mean He is not working.

Keeping our thoughts fixed on Him by meditating on scripture will remind us of His sovereignty over our lives. When we give our situations over to the Lord, His perfect peace will comfort us. He is with us no matter what it is we must endure.

Sometimes we wonder why God allows us to go through certain challenges, but we must trust His plans. Everything that He allows into our lives is for a reason. He can see way beyond the surface. His purposes stretch all the way into eternity. His faithfulness to us is also eternal, it will never end. Be encouraged. The Holy Spirit of God is with you.

  1. Where would we be without His love and eternal perspective? I shudder to think of where I would be if God didn’t help me to wait out the storms, desert places, and the “not knowing” of walking by faith and not by sight. Dawn, thank you for this word fitly spoken ♥

    1. You’re welcome. I’m thankful God does help us through the desert places. I try and remind myself His perspective is eternal. We can only see what is right in front of us. But He can see way into eternity. ❤️

  2. This is such a serene and breathtaking picture, I had to screen shot to save as ,y screen saver. It will be a constant reminder that Jesus is my peace and loves to give me peace. Lovely reminder too from Isaiah 26:3, one of my favorite “peace”scriptures. 🤗

      1. You go to the WordPress free photo library. I think I typed “ocean” to search for it. If you can’t find the library I can send screenshots later. 😊

      5. It’s always just the weekend, Friday-Saturday. But I do wish it was longer 😊. The family comes from many different states. Even NJ lol. The next reunion will be in Philadelphia.

      6. I bet! It’s always nice being around family, especially when it happens occasionally. Wow! Girl, when you come see the ones in NJ let me know so we can meet up. I’m about 30 minutes from Philly and 90 from NY

  3. I love ❤️ this verse! When I came in from my walk before church, this scripture was on my mind to text to a couple of friends going through some anxious times. When I saw your post, I thought, “Wow, Jesus, thanks for reminding me, also to keep my mind set on You!” In His presence, we find Peace 🥰

  5. I have experienced this truth in my life! After going through a long season of suffering, the Lord has brought me back to Himself. I don’t exactly understand why I had to go through what I did, but I do know and trust in His beautiful purposes for me! 🙂

    1. I’m glad you were lead back to Christ. Sometimes He allows us to go through things and we don’t always understand why. But we know when we love the Lord, He works all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). Thanks for sharing ❤️

  6. “Trust” – learning to do that everyday.

Our lives is a perfect example of Peter walking on the water, as long as we keep our eyes on Him we can make it past ANYTHING, but if we see Ourselves instead of Him, then we sink deep!.

    Thanks sis.
